Hi all,

Another new Sharepoint Blog, looking forward to Sharing points on Sharepoint.

It's a mighty powerful thing, but it's not an obviously powerful thing is it?

  1. We have this team with a SharePoint 2003 site with several survey and document libraries. The admin of this site has set the option to yes to add to the Quick Launch bar. Somehow they are not showing up in the Quick Launch bar.
We have tried checking several things such as what about the template this site inherits from its parent site? A new site which does have the outline format in the quick launch. This is exactly what we wanted.
All the normal places to check show how to create a library and add that link to the quick launch. We already know that. What are we doing wrong? I understand we could make the change in customized html editor like Frontpage or SharePoint Designer 2007 but I prefer not to. The administrator of this site needs to be able have her libraries show up in the quick launch bar when she wants them to. She should not need to (or have me using our editor) use that method for each library.
    Thanks,
    RMC
